G20 IN D. TRUMP’S GRIP
Edito Hopes for a positive outcome to the G20 currently being held in Buenos Aires were already quite slim. They were even more whittled away at by D. Trump’s decision to cancel his meeting with V. Putin, only an hour after having confirmed it. The next few hours, although unpredictable, will nonetheless be decisive in several areas, including the outlook for global trade; with the underlying leitmotivs being the Saturday meeting between D. Trump and Xi Jinping, oil, and climate, it’s hard to have any confidence in a common statement coming out of this summit
