Growth is accelerating in the United States and slowing down in the euro zone: Is this due solely to fiscal policy?

In the first half of 2018 , growth accelerated in the United States while it slowed down in the euro zone. And yet: Monetary policy is more expansionary in the euro zone than in the United States; The United States is probably closer to full employment than the euro zone. Could the difference between growth trends in the United States and the euro zone be basically due to fiscal policies, given the powerful fiscal expansion in the United States, including, in particular, a sharp cut in taxes on companies’ earnings which could stimulate their investment? The answer is yes.
