Has the slowdown in Chinese growth had a significant impact on the rest of the world?

Chinese growth has been slowing down very markedly again since the start of 2018. At the same time, growth prospects have been slowing down worldwide, especially in industry. Some forecasters blame this on "psychological" causes, particularly pessimism and the wait-and-see stance caused by the risk of a trade war. Another possibility is that the global slowdown in industry is explained by the Chinese slowdown; could the orders of magnitude make this theory credible? The fall in Chinese imports in value terms was 20 percentage points at the end of 2018, which entails a decline of around 2 percentage points in global trade in value terms, which is noticeable but insufficient to explain the drastic decline in manufacturing activity .
