How will Donald Trump react in 2019?

The agreement between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping at the G20 summit has for the time being put off the risk of a trade war between the United States and China. But we seek to determine what Donald Trump’s reaction will be in 2019 to: The slowdown in US growth, The deterioration in US foreign trade, especially with China. He could think that it is this deterioration in foreign trade that explains the slowdown in growth, whereas the external deficit is explained by the expansionary fiscal policy conducted at full employment, and it is the return to full employment that to a large extent explains the slowdown in growth.
