If Americans are rational, will they re-elect Donald Trump?

From an economist's point of view, it is possible that Americans are not rational and vote for sociological, religious and racial reasons and not based on their economic and financial situation. But if they were rational, most Americans should look at: Trends in real wages and income distribution; Changes to the generosity of social welfare; The tax burden; Employment and unemployment ; Share prices, due to the widespread share ownership . We then see that the only negative economic factor for Donald Trump’s re-election is a very slight decline in government spending on social welfare, while everything else is positive.
