Is inflation starting to slightly rebound in France?

French CPI increased by 0.1% on a monthly basis in May and by + 0.4% YoY . While changes in the oil price had a strong downward impact (-21.2% YoY), it has been more than compensated by the increase in tabaco prices (+13.9% YoY), in fresh products (+17.3% YoY), and, to a lesser extent, in services (+1.2% YoY). After hitting a low point in April, we expect inflation to gradually increase in the coming months . Overall, we expect inflationary pressures to come back from 2021 onwards.
