It is hard to believe in strong growth in India

Growth is vigorous in India currently, stronger than in China. Yet, it is hard to believe that growth could remain strong in India: The Indian population’s average level of education is low; The research drive is limited; The infrastructure is poor; The savings rate is low, resulting in a chronic external deficit that leads to a long-run depreciation of the exchange rate and a deterioration in the terms of trade.
