Italy: More political stability but what for?

After eight rounds of voting, the outgoing President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, was re-elected as head of state , despite previous comments suggesting that he would not want to be reelected. However, his sense of responsibility seems to have prevailed, sparing the country a political crisis . This stability must now help to overcome the economic challenges facing Italy.
