Italy presidential election: a second round to gain time

The outcome of the second round of the election of the President of the Republic on Tuesday 25 th of January was also inconclusive with a majority of “Blanks” (527) . The discussions between the political parties continue, but they need more time. It is very likely that a couple of additional rounds will be necessary to know the name of the next President. At this stage nothing very surprising.
