Portugal: Socialist Party won parliamentary elections
Following the collapse of the parliamentary coalition between the socialists and other left-wing parties on the vote on the 2022 budget, Portugal held early general elections on Sunday, 30 January 2022. The Socialist Party , that led the government , won a huge victory , reaching an absolute majority of seats. PM Costa will now be able to govern without being dependent on other parties.
