Positive outlook for the countries on the periphery of Europe

In the aftermath of the COVID crisis, we expect to see in Europe: A return to regional (European) value chains; Companies seeking low production costs to restore their profitability after the crisis. Companies that want to sell in Europe will therefore invest more in European countries with low labour costs, which is clearly positive for countries on the periphery of Europe in the broad sense (CEEC, Portugal, Morocco, etc.). The best-placed countries are those where not only production costs are low, but where also labour force skills are quite high.
