Spain: how to read the outcome of regional elections in Andalusia

After ha ving lost political support in Andalusia, the Former Socialist President of the region, Susana Diaz, called for early elections on Sunday December 2. However, she failed to regain a left-wing majority. The PSOE lost the region al elections for the first time in 36 years. Beyond the regional situation of the PSOE, the very good results of Ciudadanos and the emergence of a far-right party may have consequences on Pedro Sanchez’s minority government in Spain.
