The no-deal on the cake?

Edito What is expected every six weeks? A lockdown is an answer, but this week we are thinking of the ECB, whose last meeting of the year was eagerly awaited. Christine Lagarde did not disappoint as she revised the monetary easing tools in line with market expectations: the PEPP and the TLTRO emerged strengthened from this meeting. And yet, at the end of the week, when we thought 2020 was finally behind us, the no-deal Brexit became Ursula von der Leyen’s key scenario and cast a chill over the markets. The end of the year promises to be tense, but unlike a festive New Year’s Eve, a hope of a deal is still allowed.
