The real fight against inequality: The fight for skills

When comparing OECD countries, we see that: Low income inequality (before redistribution) is associated with a high employment rate; A high employment rate is associated with a high level of labour force skills. The most effective fight against inequality is therefore not to increase redistributive policies (which deal only with the symptoms of the disease), but to increase labour force skills (which deal with the causes of the disease).
