The right model: An efficient industry that enables full employment in services

The reshoring of industry is a popular topic of discussion in France. But given France’s labour costs, the only industries that could be reshored are ones that are high-end and create few jobs. So reshoring will not significantly reduce unemployment. But in reality , this is the right model: industry is efficient and productive; it generates high income, which can be used to create jobs in numerous services, thus achieving full employment. This “right model” can be observed for example in Japan.
