The three key issues for French economic policies in the medium term

If we want to prioritise structural problems and the necessary economic policy responses in France, what are the most important issues? We see three of them : The issue of skills (and therefore of schools and vocational training), because without improving skills there will be neither an increase in the employment rate, nor a fall in structural unemployment, nor reindustrialisation, nor modernisation of companies; The issue of threats to purchasing power resulting from the rise in energy prices, due to the energy transition, and from the sharp rise in real estate prices caused by negative real interest rates; The issue of the trajectory of public finances: how to reconcile public debt sustainability, the need for increased public spending in many areas and the desire to reduce taxes that generate distortions?
