The United States shows us clearly what happens when "financial capitalists" take over
The fact that "financial capitalists" have taken over in the United States has led to: A decline in employees’ bargaining power, leading to a distortion of income distribution in favour of profits; A lack of effort to combat monopoly rents (for example those of the GAFAM); An expansionary monetary policy, thanks to the low level of inflation, itself due to the small wage increases : This expansionary monetary policy and low interest rates make it possible: To conduct an expansionary fiscal policy whose objective is to increase corporate earnings and drive up share prices; For companies to finance share buybacks by borrowing at low interest rates, which increase s companies’ value per share. We see this very sophisticated organisation that makes it possible, by every possible means , to enrich shareholders.
