There is a physical limit to growth in the United States
The economic polic ies being conducted in the United States aim to extend the growth period: Expansionary fiscal policy; Expansionary monetary policy; Pressure on other countries to buy more US products. This policy has had some degree of success: The labour market participation rate has risen; Productivity gains have risen. But there will be a physical limit to growth in the United States, once all employable Americans have a job and opportunities for productivity gains have been exhausted. Once this happens, the stimulatory economic policies, which will continue to be conducted and may be ramped up further, will essentially have the effect of worsening US foreign trade.
