What is damaged after the COVID crisis in the euro zone?

The massively expansionary economic policies implemented during the COVID crisis averted an economic “disaster”. However, the euro zone is emerging from this crisis “damaged”. In particular: The ability of economic policies to respond in the future to another crisis is clearly impaired; The employability of workers in sectors heavily affected by the crisis is reduced; Access to employment for young people has deteriorated; Wealth inequality has increased; Corporate equity has decreased (but corporate net debt has not increased). These consequences of the COVID crisis must now be remedied.
