Which countries are transmitting growth to the rest of the world?
Countries that transmit growth to the rest of the world are not those that have vigorous growth, but those whose imports are growing strongly. Traditionally, this list included, in descending order of importance, emerging countries excluding China, China, the United States and Europe. But currently, no region is driving global imports any more. If no country (region) transmits growth to rest of the world, each country can count only on its domestic demand to have growth, which condemns the countries whose domestic demand is weak (Europe, Japan, oil exporters) to sluggish growth .
