Amadeus IT Group : Excellent Q2 results. Turbulence in July but recovery not called into question
>Q2 results much better than expected - Amadeus reported its Q2 2022 results on Friday morning. Q2 revenues came to € 1,183m, up 90% y-o-y and 5% above expectations. This reflects a decline in revenues of 17% vs Q2 2019, a strong improvement vs Q1 2022 (vs -35% below 2019). Air distribution reported revenues down 21% vs 2019 (-44% in Q1 vs 2019), thanks to a further recovery in booking volumes (-25% in Q2, -44% in Q1 vs 2019) and higher-than-expected revenues per boo...Amadeus is a transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry. Co. provides transaction processing power and technology solutions to both travel providers (including full service carriers and low-cost airlines, hotels, rail operators, cruise and ferry operators, car rental companies and tour operators) and travel agencies (both online and offline). Co. acts both as a worldwide network connecting travel providers and travel agencies through a processing platform for the distribution of travel products and services (through the Distribution business), and as a provider of a portfolio of IT solutions which automate certain business processes (through the IT solutions business).
