Item 2 Advisory vote on the remuneration report: the remuneration is not over-complex, has an appropriate long-term focus and has been sufficiently justified in light of the company's specific circumstances and strategic objectives. The performance measures used in the incentive pay elements are sufficiently linked to the key performance indicators identified in the business review. There is a safety underpin for bonus. The remuneration level is acceptable, the performance conditions are challenging enough to recommend approval.
Item 14: the Board welcomes Catherine Bradley CBE, a new independent director and member of the Finance Committee from 1 January 2020. Her appointment improves the Board diversity and independence.
