El miedo al rebrote cotiza en el mercado
La aparición de varios focos de infección en Alemania, China y Portugal provocaron ventas en las bolsas europeas, destacando otra vez el Ibex (-1,2%) vs al resto (Euro STOXX 50 -0,5%). En el Euro STOXX los mejores sectores fueron Viajes&Ocio y Químicas mientras que Industria y R. Básicos presentaron las mayores caídas. Por el lado macro, en España 4 de los 5 grandes bancos solicitaron el importe máximo permitido por el BCE en las TLTRO. En total la banca europea ha solicitado 1,3 billones de euros en liquidez extraordinaria. En R. Unido la reunión del BoE se saldó sin sorpresas, los tipos de interés se mantuvieron sin cambios y el QE se incrementó en 100.000 M de libras por un total de 745.000 M. Como nota positiva, A. Bailey reconoció que hay señales de que el impacto de la pandemia puede resultar "menos severo" de lo que se temía en un principio. En EE.UU. el índice de la Fed de Filadelfia de junio se recuperó más de lo previsto, volviendo a terreno positivo, pero el paro semanal repuntó más de lo esperado revisándose el dato anterior al alza. Mientras, los casos de Covid-19 y sobre todo las hospitalizaciones siguen al alza en los estados de Arizona, Florida, Texas, California y Carolina del Sur. En Japón la inflación de mayo repitió el 0,1% a/a anterior mientras que la subyacente sorprendió negativamente al retener el -0,2% anterior.
Qué esperamos para hoy
La bolsas europeas abrirían planas y sin una dirección clara en la sesión ante la falta de catalizadores. En estos momentos, los futuros del S&P cotizan con subidas del +0,17% (el S&P 500 cerró prácticamente sin cambios respecto al precio al que cotizaba al cierre de los mercados en Europa). La volatilidad en EE.UU. bajó (VIX 32,92%). Los mercados asiáticos cotizan mixtos (Japón +0,69% y Hong Kong -0,07%). Hoy en R. Unido las ventas al por menor de mayo. En EE.UU. la balanza por cuenta corriente del 1T’20. Se celebra la reunión del Consejo Europeo.


EUROPA

L’ORÉAL, VENDER
Según declaraciones de Jean-Paul Agon (CEO de L’Oréal), el segmento de Travel Retail (~9% ventas de OR; +25% LfL en 2019) continuará sufriendo por la crisis. Por otra parte, también ha comentado que las ventas en China en abril fueron positivas y que el segmento online en dicho país (representa ~50% ventas de OR en China vs ~22% a nivel de Grupo) continúa creciendo (vs +67% en 1T’20). Con todo, espera que todas las divisiones vuelvan a registrar crecimientos positivos en 2S’20. Se trata de noticias positivas en la medida en que los comentarios sobre China (~14% ventas de OR) apuntan ya a una cierta normalidad siendo esto, en nuestra opinión, un indicador de cómo puede producirse la desescalada en el resto de economías. En todo caso, están muy en línea con las indicaciones ya aportadas en las ventas 1T’20 y con nuestro escenario de recuperación en V, siendo ésta más gradual en los negocios más expuestos al turismo.
