MARKET COMMENT - MORE CONSTRUCTIVE GLOBAL MARKET BACKDROP TODAY; JACKSON HOLE DUEThe RTS declined 0.8% on Friday to 1,240, while most other markets were in positive territory, the MSCI EM gaining 0.7% and the MSCI World (DM) rising 1.2%. Russia lagged peers over the week as well. Global markets look more constructive today than during last week's volatile sessions, though with few material catalysts to explain the change in tone. The Fed's annual Jackson Hole summit is the week's most obvious focal point for global markets.
