Debt Markets Today - July 20, 2021. Alfa Bank to Place Senior Euroclearable Ruble Bonds
CIS EUROBOND MARKETDespite the risk-off move in global markets yesterday, CIS Eurobonds closed basically flat. Trading was again light as investors preferred to take a wait-and-see attitude. The only exception was Ukrainian sovereigns, which slid 0.2-0.8 pp in price.GOVERNMENT DEBTAgainst the backdrop of a renewed selloff in risk assets yesterday - which pushed the ruble lower - OFZ yields climbed 1-2 bps in the belly of the curve and 3-4 bps at both the long and short ends. Trading volumes on the Moscow Exchange totaled just R11 bln, which is just half of the average daily volume over the last month. However, more than R5 bln changed hands in the 5y OFZ 26219 (September 2026).
