CIS EUROBOND MARKETThe general rebound in markets again helped Russian sovereigns to claw back ground yesterday. Long-dated papers added 4.5-5.0 pp, the Russia 47 being the biggest gainer, while intermediate issues rose 2.3-2.5 pp. GOVERNMENT DEBTThe OFZ market again experienced significant volatility yesterday. Yields gapped 15-20 bps lower at the open thanks to an improvement in global risk appetite and in anticipation of the US emergency fiscal package. Later on, they moved sharply higher as oil prices retreated and news emerged that President Putin was about to unveil measures to tackle the coronavirus crisis. Trading dried up but re-emerged in the evening, with nonresidents active on the bid. This sent yields lower again, back to the levels at which they opened.
