CIS EUROBOND MARKETThe ease in geopolitical tensions allowed Russian Eurobonds to pare some of their recent losses. The Russia 35 was the top performer, adding 0.3 pp to reach 119.3% (YTM 3.5%, Z-spread 155 bps), though it is still trading 0.6 pp below its level as of end-December. The Russia 47 notched a 0.2 pp gain to 124.3% (YTM 3.8%, Z-spread 183 bps), narrowing its YTD loss to 0.9 pp.GOVERNMENT DEBTA rise in oil prices, a stronger ruble and an overall strong start of the year for risk assets have contributed to a decline in OFZ yields so far this year. The 3y OFZ shed 8 bps in yield over the first eight days of January, while yields on medium-term notes have dropped around 4 bps on average.
