MARKET COMMENT - RISK-OFF TRADING CONTINUESThe main European and US stock indexes ended the day about 1% lower on Friday amid headlines about tightening monetary policy, as well as fresh uncertainty over the Omicron variant. The Russian stock market generally followed the global trends and was additionally pressured by a 2.4% drop in Brent below $73/bbl. The RTS Index finished off 1.4%. Gazprom Neft PJSC is vertically integrated oil company operating in the Russian Federation, CIS and internationally. Co.'s principal activities include exploration, production and development of crude oil and gas, production of refined petroleum products and distribution and market ing operations through its retail outlets. Co.'s Upstream segment includes the exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas (including joint ventures results), oil field services. Novatek is an independent gas producer and natural gas producer in Russia. Co. is engaged in the exploration, production, and processing of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. Co.'s upstream activities are concentrated in the Yamal-Nenets region, which is a natural gas producing area and accounts for a significant part of Russia's natural gas production. Co.'s three core fields are located in the regions of Yurkharovskoye, East Tarkosalinskoye and Khancheyskoye. Co. maintains natural gas reserves of approximately 1,144 bcm. Co.'s total net proved reserves totals around 8,088 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe).
PJSC Lukoil is a vertically-integrated oil company engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas. Co. is engaged in all main sectors of the modern oil business including supplies, refining, marketing, transportation, petrochemicals and oil-related activities. Co.'s operations are divided into five business segments: Exploration and Production; Refining, Marketing and Distribution; Chemicals; Power Generation and Other Business Segments. Co. owns and operates refineries in Bulgaria (LUKOIL Neftochim Bourgas AD) and Romania (Petrotel-LUKOIL).
TCS Group Holding is a retail banking services group based in the Russian Federation. Co. is principally engaged in providing retail banking services in the Russian Federation through its subsidiaries, primarily Tinkoff Credit Systems. Co., through this subsidiary, fully licensed by the Central Bank of Russia and a member of the Deposit Insurance System, specializes in credit cards. Co. provides online retail financial services through a branchless operating platform. Co. also offers remote access to its financial products and services through its online banking as well as through mobile banking and high-volume call centers.
