CIS EUROBOND MARKETYesterday, Russian sovereigns posted moderate gains in what was something of a late reaction to the sharp drop in US Treasury yields earlier this week. At the top of the leaderboard were the Russia 47 and Russia 43, which added 0.3 pp each. The euro-denominated Russia 32 advanced 0.2 pp on the day. GOVERNMENT DEBTOFZ yields climbed another 8-10 bps yesterday, despite the ruble strengthening and decline in US Treasury yields. Underlying the move was the outcome to the previous day's OFZ auctions and comments from Deputy Finance Minister Timur Maximov that the ministry has no plans to place floaters, it sees demand for nominal paper and will not borrow at any price. Further pressure came in the afternoon, when the EU announced it was starting to devise new sanctions.
