CIS EUROBOND MARKETRussian sovereign quotes gapped lower at the opening yesterday on fairly solid volumes following the previous day's reports that the US might widen sanctions against Russia to include its sovereign debt. However, the earlier losses were partially pared by the close. The Russia 28 fared the worst, losing 0.4 pp.GOVERNMENT DEBTYesterday morning was dominated by sellers following the sharp ruble weakening of the previous evening, but local bids emerged in the middle of the curve by the evening. Yields finished an average of 6 bps higher at the short end and 3 bps higher at the long end. Floaters dropped 12.5 bps in price. Volumes returned to their average levels (R28 bln).Novatek is an independent gas producer and natural gas producer in Russia.
