CIS EUROBOND MARKETInvestors were buoyed yesterday by the higher oil prices, a weaker dollar, soft US inflation reading and downtick in US Treasury yields. This underpinned a strong session in EM Eurobonds. The Russia 42, 43 and 47 surged 2.7-2.9 pp. The Russia 47 closed at 94.8% (YTM 5.6%, Z-spread 258 bps). The shorter-dated Russia 27 climbed 1.7 pp to close at 97.1% (YTM 4.6%, Z-spread 165 bps). GOVERNMENT DEBTA strengthening ruble and improving sentiment on global markets translated into rising prices in OFZs. Yields were falling from the open and ended the day 3-5 lower across the curve amid high trading volumes. OFZs still lagged other Russian assets, which we attribute mostly to the fact that OFZs had managed to fall less during the recent selloff.
