DirecTV Now Caught all the Attention With More Goods than Bads; Mexico Business Impressed.
On 1/20, AT&T released some preliminary user statistics for the fourth quarter of 2016, with full results to be reported on Jan. 25. The firm reported impressive video net additions for DirecTV Now for the first month of its launch, but the same figure implied no customer growth in other video services at AT&T. On balance, we expect the strong growth of DirecTV Now to slowdown somewhat as low introductory pricing expired in January. We believe the firm may realize a weaker pull effect on...AT&T is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the company is a provider of telecommunications, media and technology services.
