Nutrien Announces Proposed SQM Equity Stake Sale to Tianqi Lithium
Nutrien announced plans to sell its remaining SQM Class A equity stake to Tianqi Lithium for $65 per share, or a total price of roughly $4.07 billion, and representing 24% of SQM’s equity value. The deal does not include Nutrien’s 20.2 million SQM Class B shares, worth roughly $1 billion and 8% of SQM’s equity value.
