Frontier is a leading independent developer and publisher of videogames founded in 1994 by David Braben. It is a constituent of the FTSE AIM (Alternative Investment Market) UK 50 Index and reports against QCAns corporate governance code.
We have the following concerns about the board composition:
- the Board lacks independence;
- the number of executives is too high;
- there is no female representation and, therefore, the Board lacks diversity;
- the audit and remuneration committees are not fully independent.
Frontier Developments is engaged in developing video games for the entertainment sector. Co.'s games are developed using its COBRA technology platform. Co.'s game include Elite Dangerous, Planet Coaster, and Jurassic World Evolution, and is available for Windows PC, Apple Macintosh, Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation 4. In addition, Co. invests in the development of franchise assets and in research and development through the COBRA engine and associated development tools.
