MAPFRE: STRATEGIC PLAN AND CANCELLATION OF ID (ANÁLISIS BANCO SABADELL)

At the AGM that has been held today, MAP has announced its new targets and Strategic Plan for the 2022-24 period, and has cancelled the ID scheduled for the 23rd of March. We highlight the following messages:
 Pillars of the Plan: The plan is divided into 3 pillars: (i) Growth, with the core markets/businesses being Spain, Brazil and the US, and the Reinsurance business. The company will also place its bet on markets/businesses with high strategic value and profitability as well as on the Global Risks and Assistance businesses. The aim will be to increase cross-selling for customers via customer-oriented models and to reinforce and/or expand distribution channels, with a focus on the bancassurance, Autos and online segments; (ii) Improving internal efficiency via digitisation, cost-control measures and improvement technical profitability through the control of the average claims cost; and (iii) Transformation and sustainability: the objective is to become a more digital group, with sustainability targets being implemented in day-to-day management.
