W Resources (WRES) released its H114 results, also providing an update on its projects. With three shipments to date, the company’s La Parrilla tungsten tailings operation is expected to reach full capacity of 25tpm WO3 in October. WRES is contemplating a number of measures to reduce costs and increase revenues at the project. The large-scale La Parrilla mine is expected to be developed in phases using existing infrastructure.
W Resources reported positive initial drilling results at the Tarouca tungsten deposit, demonstrating a number of high-grade mineralised intersections. The company has also completed a £1.23m equity raising to be spent on exploration and the upcoming La Parrilla mine payment.
Following commissioning in April 2014, the La Parrilla tungsten tailings project is in the ramp-up phase, with offtake negotiations underway for completion in July or August. The recently received trial mining licence at Régua suggests that this project may follow straight on from La Parrilla, as W Resources plans to fast-track it through a feasibility study and into production.
